St. Matthew Lutheran Church – 9:15 a.m. Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday Worship Services
4285 U.S. Hwy 12, Warrens, WI 54666; (608) 378-3233; stmatthewwarrens@gmail.com
The history of St. Matthew’s congregation dates to 1875, when worship services were held in area homes and in a schoolhouse. In 1900 the first church building was constructed, but it was destroyed by fire in 1928. A second building, remembered as “The Church on the Hill”, was dedicated in 1930. As the congregation grew, a larger and more modern facility was needed. St. Matthew’s current facility was dedicated in 2009 and includes a large sanctuary, fellowship hall and classrooms. In addition to their website, St. Matthew Church also has a Facebook page.
