The Warrens Independence Day Celebration is Saturday, July 2. Weather permitting, the Town of Lincoln Fire Department fireworks will begin at dusk at Birkholz Field (across from Warrens Lions Log Building).

If rain is forecast, watch the Fire Department’s Facebook page for updates.

The Warrens Area Youth Association has secured a DJ, so there will be a street dance starting at 6 p.m. There will not be face painting this year.

The Warrens Lions Club will be selling brats, hotdogs, popcorn and beverages from the softball field concession stand. Serving begins at 6 p.m., so come early for the street dance, grab a bite to eat and find a good spot to watch the fireworks!

In conjunction with the other events, Warrens VFW Post #5387 will conduct a Flag Retirement Ceremony at 4:30 p.m. at Birkholz Field, directly across from the Lions Log Building. The members will properly dispose of all the torn, tattered, faded and unserviceable flags that they have collected over the year. The public is invited to join them.

If you have a flag that needs to be retired, you can bring it that evening or drop it off anytime in the drop box outside the Warrens Cranberry Festival office.
