Two dozen garage sales, including several multi-family events, are planned for this year’s Warrens Community Garage Sale, April 27-29.
Hosted by the Warrens Area Business Association, a list of the participants – along with the days and hours of their sales – can be found on Visit Warrens website.
“We traditionally hold the Warrens Community Garage the week before the Tomah City Wide Rummage Sale, so it’s sort of the kickoff for the garage sale season in our area,” said WABA secretary Lorry Erickson.
New this year, St. Matthew Lutheran Church is renting table space in their fellowship hall to individuals wanting to sell garage sale items and home-based businesses wishing to market their products. They have 18 registered participants to date, Erickson said.
Also new this year, the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center is offering lunch during all three days of the Warrens Community Garage Sale. “They’ll be introducing a new signature sandwich, featuring ham served on a cranberry walnut sourdough bread with cranberry horseradish spread,” Erickson said.
The plate lunch – which also includes cranberry coleslaw, chips and cranberry drink for $10 – will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The gift shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with in-store specials. A half-price admission to the center’s Exhibit Hall will also be offered.
Sandy Nemitz is the coordinator of the Warrens Community Garage Sale. Along with the list of participants, Nemitz has created a Google map of all the sale locations.
