The Warrens Area Business Association has launched a mobile-friendly website featuring information about upcoming events and activities in the Warrens area.
“The Visit Warrens website is geared toward visitors, but we hope area residents find it useful, too,” said Lorry Erickson, WABA website coordinator. “The calendar page, for example, includes information on the Warrens Area Community Easter Breakfast and the Village-Wide Garage Sale.”
The website has listings for attractions, hotels, restaurants, gift shops, and other businesses and services in the Warrens area. WABA currently has more than 70 members.
“A feature we added is the ability to receive website updates by e-mail. If you sign up with your e-mail address, you’ll receive an alert anytime a new post is made in the News & Information section,” Erickson said.
The new website was made possible by a $2,500 donation from the Warrens Cranberry Festival. The funds paid for the website’s redesign and will also help fund Erickson’s part-time job as the coordinator of the Visit Warrens website and Facebook page.
WABA assumed maintenance of the Visit Warrens website from the Warrens Convention and Visitors Bureau, which ceased operations in 2010.
