The 47th Annual Warrens Cranberry Festival is Sept. 27-29.
The first Cranfest was held in 1973 with 3,500 people in attendance.
Now 47 years later, attendance has grown to more than 140,000 visitors each year.
The Festival is perhaps best known for its shopping and boasts 850 arts and crafts booths, 350 flea market and antique booths, 100 farm market booths and 100 food vendors that make for a three-mile shopping extravaganza. But there’s also free entertainment, cranberry marsh tours, and lots and lots of food!
From the beginning the purpose of the Festival was to raise funds to improve the quality of life in the Village of Warrens. Over its 47 years of existence, the Festival has donated more than $2 million. These donations have benefited the Village of Warrens, Town of Lincoln Fire Department, area schools and many local organizations.
